TASK 1 | PROJECT ANALYSIS

Project 1 | Moving Body Image

Subject Matter: To observe body movement and its limitations and possibilities.

Project Aim: To show how movement can create its own story.

Medium: Photography

Impact: I tried to show how our self worth can be tied up with our own body image which fragments how we view the world.

Threshold Concept: My perception of my body image was changed through my exploration of images in this project.

Project 2 | Body Politics

Subject Matter: To explore how we view our identities.

Project Aim: To examine how Society views and portrays gender, race, and colour.

Medium: Moving Image

Impact: I used people of different ages, colour, race, sexuality and gender and asked them to define how they see their bodies.

Threshold Concept: It showed me that when people differ from the norm it does not always mean they feel marginalised.

Project 3 | Alternate Universes

Subject Matter: To look at the possibility of different worlds in parallel with our own or how we might evolve into a different world.

Project Aim: To create a Universe which was either utopian or dystopian.

Medium: Moving Image

Impact: I completely altered my Universe concept through the project to create a Utopian world that was really dystopian which I think mirrors Society.

Threshold Concept: My visualisation that we have shifted so far from Nature in our World.

Project 4 | 40 Hours

Subject Matter: To explore the motion of slow moving time and fast moving t.

Project Aim: To try to understand how time underpins our everyday life.

Medium: Photography and Moving Image

Impact: I explored how time in Nature was different to how people perceive and experience time.

Threshold Concept: It gave me an understanding of how humankind is out of sync with Nature.
